We are seeking a writer that is familiar with creating custom content on a variety of topics and has a knack for researching content in both a formal and informal setting to join our team. In this entry-level position, your primary goals will be to research and create custom content for small businesses including blogs, social media posts, and websites as they are contracted through our company. In this position, the overall objective when writing is to effectively internalize the importance, uniqueness, and services that our clients provide their local customers to increase the overall success of their marketing strategy.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Research & Write Captivating Content on a Variety of Topics
You will collaborate with our current digital content writer, as well as our social media marketing manager and digital design team to create blog, social media posts, and website content for small business clients located throughout central Illinois. You will use programs like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and ClickUp to create, upload, and manage assigned content.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and edit content for custom-built websites using SEO techniques and general grammar/punctuation skills.
- Create custom Facebook and other social media post content for clients by researching their company to get a general idea of their business.
- Research, write, and edit content for blog posts (approx. 450-650 words each) on several topics including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, construction, cleaning, food, insurance, pests, animals, and more!
- Be able to complete work on or before the due dates & communicate when projects overlap with other job responsibilities.
- Be able to communicate with our sales representations and clients on writing specifications and additional information needed to complete a project.
- Independently manage and organize your workload in ClickUp, our project management program, and current work files.
Technical Requirements Include:
- Complete understanding of how to operate and navigate Microsoft Word and other Microsoft programs including Excel.
- The ability to form complete and grammatically correct sentences with occasional help from word checking systems like Grammarly.
- Experience writing for an extended time in a professional, academic, or personal setting. (Bonus points if you have written content that has been published or can be sent to us!)
- Understanding of general punctuation and sentence formation of the English language.
- An understanding of current SEO practices or a willingness to learn about SEO.

Education:
- Associate degree (Required)

- SEO Content Writing: 1 Year (Preferred)
Compensation:
- $14.00 – $15.00 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a web designer that is familiar with WordPress, the Elementor Pro page builder, and someone that has a great eye for design to join our close-knit team. Our ideal applicant is detail-oriented, eager to learn, has a deep passion for web design, and can thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing digital marketing environment.
About the Position

In this entry-level position, your primary goals will be to create, customize, and design commercial websites using WordPress and the Elementor Pro page builder. In this position, the overall objective of your tasks is to ensure that every client’s website is unique and beautifully designed while including key elements that contribute to the overall success of our client’s marketing strategy.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Design & Build Beautiful and Functional Websites
You will collaborate with your team of designers, as well as our copywriter to create websites that are functional, informational, and beautifully designed. You will use WordPress and the Elementor Pro page builder to bring your designs to life.
Website Maintenance
This position requires you to assist in providing support for existing clients, troubleshooting websites when something “breaks”, updating WordPress and Plugins, and making content and design updates as needed.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Digital asset creation using the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Running Google Analytics reports for sales reps or internal use.
- Making edits or adding new content to the Right Click Digital company website.
- Accurately tracking & self-organizing your work in our project management app.
- Communicate via phone and email with sales reps and clients when needed, to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Assist with various tasks around the office as needed.
Preferred Skills and Technical Knowledge Include:
- Comfortable setting up WordPress websites and working within the WordPress dashboard.
- Experience with a popular WordPress page builder such as Elementor, WP Bakery, Divi. (Bonus points if you currently have experience with Elementor).
- An intermediate to advanced skill level in Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator.
- Understanding of HTML.
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in CSS.
- Understanding of hosting, domains, and FTP.
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
